MayaOhm: I was thinking we could talk about "trust". . . then "abundance" if we had time.

Lahoon: TRUST and inability to attract abundance are closely related if you ask me!

LovePeace: Perhaps we don't TRUST ourselves to CREATE ABUNDANCE.

MayaOhm: I think that LP has a good point, but I also think its more complex. It may not "just" be that we don't trust ourselves to create abundance.  I may be that it is a part of our overall "plan" to learn that we can exist without monetary abundance, realizing the abundance we do have already of other, more spiritual and more powerful energies. We have an abundance of many things that others do not have . . . . .I realize that in our D world, we need money in order to pay rent, etc., BUT I also think that we must not place monetary abundance over spiritual abundance in the scheme of things. You can have a million dollars, but if you don't have what we have it's only money.

 Lahoon: but monetary abundance would bring us more freedom and flexibility

 MayaOhm: Yes, Lahoon . . . . I've been telling myself that for years . . . .but now I'm rethinking that belief. You see . . . what we're doing is putting off all of the wonderful things we can do that we don't need money for . . . .

Mimi_Loveandlight: For me the question is - to what extend to concentrate on monetary abundance so I don't have to think about paying bills etc. all the time and be free to focus on spiritual things

MayaOhm: Right now we're using lack of monetary abundance as an excuse not to focus on our true path . . .Please don't get me wrong . . . . I feel the same way you all do, too.  I just think now that we might need to rethink our thinking.

 LovePeace: When we don't have the money to pay our bills, we sometimes become despondant and depressed, which doesn't allow for the Spiritual to come through to help us.

MayaOhm: LP . . . . what you said is very, very true.  BUT . . . .I think its true because of the way we have been brainwashing ourselves.  (remember . . . I totally agree with you.  :)  Just trying to see if we can change our thinking).

Lahoon: you are right but you see we continue to focus on sending healing  for example. Did we stop doing that because of our financial problems?

JedzyRael: I agree with you Maya, it is just sometimes the lack distracts

MayaOhm: No, Lahoon.  But I remember a long, long time ago when Spirit said "walk the talk . . . . have faith . . . trust in your process . . . . and you WILL be provided for."

 Lahoon: Well did the Spirit fulfill that promise?

 MayaOhm: Yes!

LovePeace: Actually, when I have financial problems, I tend to focus more on healing others, so I don't think about my own misery.

MayaOhm: hehehehe . . . good thought, LP.

MayaOhm: Whenever I focused on the spiritual work, I was provided for . . . in many ways . . . . . BUT, when I started worrying about and focusing on monetary abundance, I got depressed . . . and nothing happened.

JedzyRael: maybe it comes back to what I said in the email, we trust spirit, but we don't trust ourselves enough to allow spirit to work

 MayaOhm: Jed, that was truly wonderful.  I agree.  So we need to focus on trusting ourselves AS extensions/aspects/essences of GOD.

Mimi_Loveandlight: Just a question - i thought that what we concentrate on, manifests in our lives?

Lahoon: Thats the Law of the Universe Maya, whatever you truly focus on (in terms of surrendering) you create it

MayaOhm: There is one thing that we forget about manifesting . . . . and that is the way we do it.

Lahoon: yes thats true

MayaOhm: If the overall focus is "I don't have abundance" then the way we put out our Intent is focused on the negative aspect.  BUT . . . if we realize that we DO have abundance and focus on multiplying the abundance in all ways, maybe that shows our Trust.

Lahoon: Thats right

Mimi_Loveandlight: I agree.  But in Maya's opinion if we focus on monetary abundance, (i take it, if we try to solve the money problem we have), nothing happens...

MayaOhm: Mimi . . . not exactly what I meant . . . .

Mimi_Loveandlight: I hope not :)

MayaOhm: What I meant is that if we place monetary abundance as our top priority with the thought that we do NOT have any abundance  . . . then we get depressed and nothing happens.

LovePeace: However..............perhaps we fear having abundance or we don't trust ourselves to have abundance and stay on our Spiritual path.

MayaOhm: YES!  That's another thought I'm sure we've all held on to, LP for a long time.

Lahoon: hehehe it is easier to focus on what we dont have than what we want which places us in a dilemma!

MayaOhm: That's the trick, Lahoon.  I think we need to start remember how to focus on ALL that we do have.  BY doing that we will draw "like" energy to US . . . and more abundance will flow. Remember . . . "like attracts like." In the past, when we attempted to focus on or put out the Intent of abundance it was based on our "lack" of abundance . . . or our belief that we lacked abundance . . . and so that continued to draw that kind of energy to us. BUT . . . . if we focus on the abundance we do have . . . we will draw the same energies of abundance . . . but in more ways.

JedzyRael: that sounds so simple, yet profound, why did we not think of it berfore, hehhehehehhe

MayaOhm: hehehehe . . . Jed . . it had to do with what we were taught . . . you know . . . all those books, etc., . . . .All those people who talk about the Power of the Mind . . .  . That was the "old" trend.  Now, we're much more sophisticated, spiritually, than we were then. Hehehehee

Lahoon: let me tell you what my ego says when I attempt to focus on abundance. "you fool yourself" thats what it says! hehehe

MayaOhm: EXACTLY, LAHOON.  So, don't focus on what you think you don't have.  Focus on what you know you do have . . . . .get it? Remember the old story we used to tell about the circle of energy.  About how we get caught up in a circle of energy and don't go anywhere.  BUT, if we jump out of the circle, we're free to create?

Lahoon: there is the example of this overweight man. Every day he looked in the mirror and said I AM SLIM and after a few months he realized he was fat not slim!! that is the dilemma. We believe what we see not what we wish to see!!

MayaOhm: Yes, Lahoon . . .that comes from "Old teachings."  They're not appropriate any more. I remember those techniques.  They really don't work! You DO have to use some common sense, too . . . sometimes . . . hehehehehe. Remember the one that said "Every day, in every way, I'm getting better, better and better."?

Lahoon: yes I remember that it doesnt work

MayaOhm: YES! You know why it doesn't work? Because that very saying suggests that you're not good enough.

MayaOhm: I think you are ALL so perfect . . . . so beautiful . . . so loving . . . .so giving . . . . .You are all so very talented . . . . .Yes, Lahoon . . . we are ALL rich!!!!!!.  We may not have a lot of money, but we sure are rich in many other areas.

MayaOhm: Look at all of the miserable people out there who wallow in hatred, fear, self pity, judgement, anger . . . They are so busy judging others, they don't know what we know . . . they have not experienced the love and Oneness we have experienced . . . . They doing understand that we are ALL interconnected.

 LovePeace: Looking at the hummingbirds and the flowers and realizing we are ONE is such a joy, but who could understand that?

MayaOhm: Our Hearts overflow with Divine Love, Compassion, Understanding, etc.  We don't think of these things as "abundance" . . . . but when you look around you at all of the people who are so sad or angry or fearful . . . . you realize how truly blessed we are.

MayaOhm: Because of our abundance of Love and compassion and empathy.

Mimi_Loveandlight: My thoughts exactly, Maya... I was at a big supermarket... so few people were smiling there...

MayaOhm: hehehehe . . . I often go out of my way to try to brighten their day by talking to them.  Some respond, smiling . . . others turn away . . . . but that's their choice.  I can still love them and have understanding and compassion for them.  Right?

 Michael: another way to percieve these moments is actually that we "connect" with life in that moment...there more we experience such moments, the more we connect, thus the more full of life and fullfilled we become, thus the flow abundance becomes apparent in our connectedness

MayaOhm: What happens when you are overflowing with gifts?  You have so much that you share it with others . . . . and the more you do this, the room you have to receive.
